Sioux Falls population grows to 224,676

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — The estimated population of Sioux Falls for 2025 is 224,676, city officials said Wednesday morning.

The new population grew from 219,588 in 2024 and is part of the overall population growth from the last eight years. The city’s population has grown by about 42,000 since Mayor Paul TenHaken took office, he and Jeff Eckhoff, the city’s director of planning and development services said during a One Sioux Falls briefing Wednesday.
