Tractor-trailer spills fuel after crash on I-90

CHATHAM — A tractor-trailer crashed on the Berkshire Spur of I-90 just before 2 p.m. Thursday.

The truck had 80 gallons of fuel in its tank, some of which spilled, leading to the dispatch of hazmat teams from Columbia and Greene counties, Columbia County Sheriff Jackie Salvatore said.

The truck jack-knifed, Trooper Anthony Huggins said, though no one was injured. No other vehicles were involved in the crash, and the fuel did not catch fire…
