Aloka, the Peace Dog, reunites with monks in Charlotte after successful surgery

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – Aloka, the Peace Dog, reunited with monks on a 2,300-mile peace walk in Charlotte on Thursday, following a successful surgery just days ago.

The monks explained that the surgery was necessary due to an injury Aloka sustained during a previous peace walk. The procedure, reportedly performed entirely free of charge at Charleston Veterinary Referral Center, was expected to take two to three hours but was completed in just one.

“We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the incredible medical team for their extraordinary compassion and generosity,” the monks wrote on social media…
