Dayton Humane Society offers free dog microchips

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – The Humane Society of Greater Dayton has teamed up with the Animal Resource Center and the Kettering Fire Department to host a walk-in dog licensing and microchipping event on Wednesday, Jan. 21.

From 1-5 p.m., Montgomery County residents can bring in their dogs to receive a free microchip with a 2026 dog license. If your dog is currently unlicensed, they will be available for purchase at the event.

If you aren’t sure if your dog is already microchipped, the Humane Society can scan your dog and help update their microchip registration in the event they have one…
