Marion man who ‘doesn’t like walking’ accused of stealing truck

A 28-year-old Marion County man is behind bars after allegedly stealing a pickup truck because he “does not like walking.”

On Thursday, January 1, a Marion County Sheriff’s Office deputy responded to a residence in Ocklawaha after receiving reports of a stolen vehicle. A male victim told the deputy that his Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck had been stolen from his property, according to the arrest report.

The victim advised that the truck had been parked outside his residence, and the theft occurred when he was not home. According to the report, the victim suspected that a man, identified as Jacob Clayton Kimbel, had committed the theft because he had allegedly stolen the victim’s vehicle in the past…
