Formerly-unhoused man thanks officer, landlord who gave him ‘a new start’

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — A man living in Lancaster County is now off the street thanks in part to a police officer from the East Hempfield Township Police Department and a landlord who saw him outside of the Lowe’s he frequented.

The man, Jeff Creasy, would often make enough money outside the store to buy a night in a nearby motel. Now, he has found the angel he was searching for.

Officer Jason Skiles was on his normal patrol route when he saw Creasy sitting outside of Lowe’s. After getting him a meal at Burger King, Skiles was on his way. But a few weeks later, he saw Creasy outside of Lowe’s again…
