CORDOVA, Tenn.— A Cordova woman says a maintenance worker at her apartment complex showed up at her door in a plastic suit and mask, assaulted her, and held her against her will.
Police say they were called to Trinity Lakes Apartments on Cordova Road early Wednesday morning after the victim was able to get away from her alleged attacker.
The suspect, later identified as Shawn Byers, 32, was arrested and charged with aggravated kidnapping, aggravated rape, aggravated burglary, unlawful possession of a handgun during the commission of a dangerous felony, and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.
The victim said that around 6:30 Tuesday night, Byers knocked on her apartment door, and when she opened the door, he hit her on the head with a handgun and forced her into her bedroom…
