PATTERSON — The Del Puerto Health Care District has taken another major step toward building a longplanned health care campus in Patterson, selecting global architecture firm HDR to design the 27.5acre project and submitting its master plan to the city for formal review.
The DPHCD Board approved HDR’s hiring in May, calling it a milestone in efforts to expand medical, behavioral health and seniorcare services for residents across the West Side. The campus — one of the district’s largest infrastructure investments — is slated to include an ambulance and administration center, a community mental health clinic, a relocated Del Puerto Health Clinic, and a full range of senior living options. Longterm plans also reserve space for a future hospital.
“This is a huge step forward for our community,” Board President Becky Campo said, noting HDR’s experience designing facilities for rural regions.
