Driver clocked at 100 mph while drunk on ‘death trap’ SR 710

Following three recent deaths on State Road 710 and renewed pleas to add lanes to the dangerous road, the Martin County Sheriff’s Office said they arrested a man traveling at a high rate of speed while drunk.

The agency posted on its Facebook page that James Arthur Perry, 64, of Okeechobee, was arrested Tuesday on State Road 710 near Brady Ranch.
