Rochester, N.Y. (WHAM) — Along the banks of the mighty Genesee River sits the oldest continually operating brewery in New York state: Genesee, founded in 1878.
“A guy named Mathias Kondolf bought the brewery. He’s the one who named it Genesee,” said Genesee Brewery historian Paul Constantine.
