William Henry Miller, Jr. was born on Sunday, August 2, 1931, at 12:59 AM in Chatham County, Savannah, Georgia, during the height of the Great Depression. He was the youngest of three children and the only son born to the late William Henry Miller, Sr. and Francis Davis Miller.
