CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) — A dramatic shift in the weather pattern will bring dangerously cold temperatures to the Lowcountry on Friday, followed by the possibility of winter weather moving in by Sunday.
The National Weather Service has issued a Cold Weather Advisory from 8 p.m. Thursday through 9 a.m. Friday morning for Dorchester County and inland Colleton County as well as Hampton, inland Jasper, and Allendale Counties.
The Live 5 Weather team has declared both Friday and Sunday as First Alert Weather Days because of a strong cold front pushing across the Charleston area on Thursday that will usher in brutally cold air and because of the possibility of snow or a wintry mix on Sunday.
