ELKTON — A 71-year-old man remained jailed Thursday after he allegedly — and inexplicably — fired several gunshots while standing on a road northeast of Elkton, putting at least one of his neighbors at risk, according to Cecil County District Court records.
Investigators identified the suspect as Richard James Pierce, who lives in the 800 block of Jackson Hall School Road, which is one block away from where the incident occurred at approximately 8 p.m. on Monday, court records show.
