N.C. State Representatives search for change in mental health resources

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — State Representatives gathered in a special committee meeting Wednesday to discuss mental health, involuntary commitments and public safety.

The meeting comes after a Ravenscroft teacher was brutally attacked and killed in her home early this month. The accused suspect, Ryan Camacho, has an extensive criminal and mental health history that is making law makers ask what they can do to prevent future cases.
