SPOONER – A vigil was held in Spooner, along with many across the nation over the weekend, on Sunday, Jan. 11, after Renee Good was killed in Minneapolis by ICE on Jan. 7.
In Minneapolis, the whole nation was in shock and grief. Local Spooner residents stood in Good’s honor to plead for the defunding of ICE and to stop the violence. It was noted that 95% of those who drove by the vigil that day gave positive signs of support for those who stood on the sidewalks, with the thumbs up and honks bringing smiles to the faces of those standing in support…
