LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – A man clipped an officer with their vehicle after evading arrest in Lincoln on Monday, police said.
Officers were called to a disturbance outside Bodega’s Alley, near 14th and O streets, at 9:42 p.m. According to court documents, a person had exited a nearby bar when they were approached by 36-year-old Tyler McManaman. McManaman reportedly made several statements about the military and said he was the son of God. The person attempted to de-escalate McManaman several times, but later retreated into Bodega’s where a member of security was standing and working.
According to court documents, McManaman continued to make aggressive actions against both the person and security.
Officers made contact with McManaman, who was in the driver’s seat of a vehicle. Officers told McManaman to leave his vehicle multiple times and that he was under arrest. While resisting officers, McManaman quickly accelerated, causing the officer’s right arm to be struck by the driver’s side of the vehicle. McManaman sped off before turning out of sight…
