Wild cellphone video shows a man hanging onto the back of a pickup truck before falling into traffic on the Massachusetts Turnpike. The incident occurred around 10 a.m. on Tuesday morning near Exit 134 in Boston.
According to the man who shot the shocking video, Olban Santos, the man tried to get inside the pickup truck several times. “I tried to honk at the guy, but the guy didn’t pay attention, he just drove off,” Santos told NBC Boston.
In the video, the pickup truck drags the man hanging onto the tailgate for at least 10 seconds before he finally lets go and falls onto the roadway. He then stood up and tried to flag down another car that stopped to avoid hitting him. Santos guessed the truck was going 20 to 30 miles per hour when the man fell off.
“He tried to get into some other car, and that’s pretty much it,” Santos said. “And the car there, they drove away.”
Somehow, the fall off the pickup truck did not seriously injure the man
