DEKALB COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) – A driver was hospitalized Friday with only minor injuries after a collision that caused her SUV to roll into a ditch and land back on its wheels.
A deputy with the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene around 8 a.m. in the 6400 block of State Road 205 near Laotto. He found a GMC Acadia in the middle of the road and a Chevy Traverse in a ditch, according to a press release, and both SUVs had heavy front-end damage.
Police determined a 51-year-old man from Kendallville was driving the Acadia and allegedly didn’t yield to oncoming traffic as he tried to turn into the lot of a business. The man crashed into the oncoming Traverse, which then rolled over but landed right side up in the ditch, according to the release.
The police report indicated a 1-year-old girl was in a car seat in the back row of the GMC. She and the driver were treated at the scene and released…
