Police Seek Tips After Man Shot in Carjacking in Louisville’s Russell Neighborhood

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Police are searching for information after a man was shot during a carjacking Monday evening in Louisville’s Russell neighborhood.

Louisville Metro Police responded to a reported shooting around 6:30 p.m. in the 300 block of South 11th Street, near West Jefferson Street and Baxter Park, according to spokesperson Aaron Ellis. The victim told officers he was sitting in his vehicle when a suspect approached, demanded the car and fired a shot.

The victim complied, and the suspect fled in the vehicle. Police later located the car not far from the scene. No suspect description has been released…
