Roads reopen following wreck that left 1 teen injured near Canyon

CANYON, Texas (KFDA) – The area of US 87 and I-27 has been reopened following a crash Thursday night that left one teen injured.

According to Canyon PD, an 18 year old male was traveling alone in a black sedan southbound on I-27 when he left the roadway and rolled his vehicle several times before stopping in a ravine.

The Canyon Fire Department and Randall County Fire Department extracted the driver from the ravine.

The driver was transported to a local hospital with multiple but non-life-threatening injuries.

Canyon PD is asking the public to avoid the US 87 and I-27 area. They will send notice when the road is reopened…
