Flock of birds in Carson County test positive for bird flu, 1st case in Texas this year

CARSON COUNTY, Texas (KVII) — A flock of birds in Carson County tested positive for bird flu, making it the first case in Texas this year.

According to the Texas Animal Health Commission (TAHC), 13 birds from a backyard, non-commercial flock (non-poultry) in the City of Panhandle tested positive last week.
