Davenport man, just released from prison, charged again for bank robbery in Iowa City

If convicted, he faces 10 years

IOWA CITY — A Davenport man, who was just released from a federal prison for robbing two Iowa City banks in 2014, is now charged for the third time with robbing Hills Bank and Trust in Iowa City last week.

Antoinne E. Davis, 42, formerly of Iowa City, was charged last week with second-degree robbery in Johnson County District Court. According to a criminal complaint, Davis — wearing a face covering and gloves and carrying a bag — went into the bank and told a teller to empty the cash drawer and put the large bills on the counter…
