FreshFin will close its East Side restaurant at 1806 E. North Ave. on Saturday, Jan. 31. It’s a bittersweet moment for a brand that got its start in Milwaukee and helped usher fast-casual poké bowls into the local dining conversation.
When the restaurant opened in 2017, it marked FreshFin’s first brick-and-mortar location and a leap of faith for co-owners Andrew Foster and Nate Arkush. The East Side space quickly became a proving ground, one that helped shape what FreshFin would become as it expanded across Wisconsin and beyond.
“From the very start, the East Side location was an important investment in our growth,” Foster said. “It allowed us to build our brand, learn what works and expand thoughtfully.
