ST. LOUIS — A St. Louis man will spend 15 years in prison after admitting to beating and killing his ex-girlfriend inside an abandoned home in 2024.
Eric D. Johnson, 43, pleaded guilty to one count of first-degree domestic assault in the fatal beating of Cherish Lappin in February of 2024. As part of the plea deal, prosecutors dismissed six other felonies, including first-degree murder and two counts of witness tampering.
