A new developer is taking over the former Lone Star Brewery, potentially ushering in a long-awaited makeover of the star-crossed site along the San Antonio River south of downtown.
New Braunfels-based Southstar announced Friday morning that it bought the dilapidated 32-acre site from GrayStreet Partners and Midway for an undisclosed price.
In a statement, CEO Thad Rutherford said the company “has long dreamed of being a part of this effort — to celebrate all that Lone Star has meant to the city — and help guide its next chapter.”…
