A few months after signing its first franchisee to expand into Idaho, Denver-based chicken brand Birdcall is growing closer to home. The concept’s latest deal will add five locations to the state’s largest metropolitan area.
Owners of a UPS Store are broadening their portfolio with a restaurant concept, and are doing so right in the brand’s backyard.
Married couple Rebecca Michael and Niraj Aryal signed a deal with Denver-based fast-casual chicken brand Birdcall to open five restaurants in the southern area of the metro. Franchising is relatively new for both parties in the deal, as Birdcall filed its franchise disclosure document in 2024, while Michael and Aryal took over their UPS Store in late 2023.
Michael, who has a background in the banking industry, had just earned a business degree and decided to pursue entrepreneurship with Aryal, who brings experience in the technology field as a software engineer…
