Homeowner fights off intruder with frying pan; both stabbed in front yard battle

SEATTLE (KOMO) — A homeowner defended himself with a frying pan when an intruder broke into his home and grabbed a kitchen knife early Friday, according to officials.

The 61-year-old man was inside with his teenage daughter when the man broke into the home at around 2:40 a.m. The house is located on Brooklyn Avenue Northeast, just west of Cowan Park, in the Ravenna neighborhood.

When the intruder entered the home, he armed himself with a kitchen knife, and the father grabbed a frying pan to defend himself…
