Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to a house fire on Holly View Court in Olney on Friday afternoon, where flames were reported on the exterior of a home with extension into the interior.
According to MCFRS spokesperson David Pazos, the call was dispatched at approximately 2:24 p.m. Firefighters arrived to find fire on the outside of the residence that had spread inside. Two occupants were able to escape the home with two dogs and called 911. One person was reported injured and was evaluated by EMS crews at the scene.
Fire officials said a third dog was located and removed from the home by firefighters but tragically died due to smoke exposure. The cause of the fire has not been announced, and additional details were not immediately available…
