CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — A man arrested in Florida is now facing murder charges in connection with a deadly shooting in West Ashley earlier this month, and state records show he has a lengthy criminal history in South Carolina that includes felony gun convictions and multiple parole violations.
Charleston police say 28-year-old Ashlyn Brianna Burkett was shot and killed just after midnight on Jan. 10 at a home on Tripe Street in West Ashley.
