Sentencing delayed for Clarksville mom who starved son to death

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Sentencing has been delayed for a Clarksville mom found guilty of killing her son after attorneys debated whether she should be eligible for parole.

Kadaris Maddox was found dead in his family home on July 6, 2022. In October 2025, his mom, Cheyenne Maddox, took the stand, pleading not guilty to starving Kadaris to death despite autopsy results showing he was just 35 pounds.

“It hurts that people think that I killed my son,” Cheyenne said on the stand back in October.
