PHENIX CITY, Ala. (WRBL) — A heavy police presence is on the scene where an 18-wheeler struck a low-hanging power line in Phenix City.
According to the Phenix City Police Department, construction work on South Railroad Street caused a semi-truck driver to change driving course. Once rerouted, the driver knocked down a low-hanging power line on 16th Avenue, near the intersection of 15th Street and 17th Avenue.
Phenix City Police say no residents in the immediate area have lost power.
