2 killed after deadly head-on crash outside Fresno, CHP says

FRIANT, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Two people are dead after a head-on crash outside Fresno on Friday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP says they received a report of the crash in the area of Auberry Road and Summit Mountain Road around 11:30 a.m.

According to the CHP, a Dodge Durango being driven by a 21-year-old was traveling on Auberry Road. Officers say he crossed over the lanes directly into the path of a Kia Soul, causing the head-on crash.

CHP says inside the Kia was a man and a woman, believed to be in their 60s or early 70s. Both were pronounced dead at the scene…
