McDonald’s Customer Allegedly Shot & Killed Woman After Kid Dinged Car Door While She Was Eating

With a little more than an hour before the clock struck midnight, beginning the new year, a Kentucky woman lost her life. Mayra Alejandra Rodríguez Muñoz died in Louisville’s final homicide of 2025 at the McDonald’s on East Market Street. Shoshanha Jones was inside her car in the parking lot when a child reportedly opened a vehicle’s door and hit Jones’ door. This evidently enraged her, and Jones began to yell at the child.

The scene escalated quickly, and Muñoz, who was in one of the vehicles (police have not clarified which), tried to intervene. That’s when things took a horrific turn. Now Jones faces murder charges as Muñoz’s family grieves their loss.

An argument began in the parking lot after the child hit Jones’ car door, WDRB reported. The mother, Lorainne Peña Bolaño, tried to get Jones’ attention off her child and onto her from inside the car, court documents state. Jones allegedly brandished a firearm, and Muñoz, a Navy veteran, got out of the car to defend the mother and child. She was fatally shot in the chest. Bolaño reportedly tried to record the altercation with her phone, but Jones took it from her and left the scene…
