‘Do you want to check out?’: High schooler accused of pointing stolen gun at father, daughter leaving campus

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – A student of Fairley High School is behind bars on a $50,000 bond after police say he brandished a stolen handgun at a man and his daughter who were leaving the campus after a large fight.

Brendan Smith, 19, is charged with two counts of felony aggravated assault, felony carrying of a weapon on school property, property theft, and unlawful carrying of a weapon.

Shelby County Court records show that this is Smith’s second felony arrest since December…
