NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — A man has died after a house fire on Lacon Drive in Newport News Friday.
Newport News fire officials were called to the home in the 800 block of the street at noon, and when they arrived on the scene minutes later, heavy smoke was visible from the one-story home.
