A Tarrant County jury has delivered a verdict in the case of Devoreia Thompson, convicting him on charges of aggravated assault against a public servant, and sentencing him to a lengthy prison term. According to the Tarrant County District Attorney’s Office, Thompson, age 34, has been sentenced to serve 26 years behind bars for the violent confrontation that occurred on May 19, 2024, when Thompson was stopped by Fort Worth police as a shooting suspect.
