Man allegedly stole jewelry from Council Bluffs retirement home

COUNCIL BLUFFS, IA. (WOWT) – A Council Bluffs man who worked at a retirement community is accused of stealing more than $15,000 worth of jewelry from elderly residents.

Da’Monni Denson, 32, worked as a resident aide at Primrose Retirement Community. Police allege he used a master key to access residents’ rooms and steal jewelry, which he then pawned for cash.

Investigation reveals extensive theft

Detective Jon Meyer with Council Bluffs Police said it’s the largest theft case he has investigated.

“One to this magnitude I haven’t investigated myself personally. Unfortunately, elderly victims are an easier target,” Meyer said…
