DENVER — The 5-month-old lion cubs born at the Denver Zoo have been officially named, the zoo announced on Thursday.
The male cub is named Guion, and the three female cubs are named Alpine Lily, Olive and Poppy. The cubs were born on Aug. 13 to parents Araali and Usiko.
In a social media post, Jordan Schimming, an animal care specialist for the carnivores, said Guion is starting to get hair on his head and cheeks, which will eventually turn into the distinctive lion’s mane. He’s also the stockiest of the four…
