Chevy’s Fresh Mex will be closed for remodeling starting Monday. To give customers a little more time to dine before then, the restaurant is opening one hour earlier and closing one hour later on Friday and Saturday. Hours will be 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. The work includes a full kitchen remodel, a new bar rail, fresh paint and new TVs and is expected to take about 10 days, assistant manager John Reed said. With the end of the Sunday buffet at The Barrel House, the restaurant has added a plated breakfast menu. Hours are 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The build-your-own bloody mary and mimosa bars remain.

Crumbl has changed its menu options. The weekly rotating desserts have been cut from seven to four, and there’s now a permanent Classic Menu with six cookies that are always available: Pink Sugar, Brownie Batter, Celebration Cake, Snickerdoodle, Chocolate Crumb, and Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chunk or Milk Chocolate Chip. Also new is Thin Thursday, which features packages of Chocolate Chip Cookie Thins.
If you like to play Uno, Squealer’s Smoke Shack in Tea is having a competition at diners’ tables this month. Tables of four or more can play one round, and the winner gets to choose a free order of pickle chips or a brownie sundae. The offer is good from 5 p.m. to close Tuesday through Friday.

Dakota Craft Links has a new French onion sausage that’s available as a sandwich or by the pound to cook at home. At the restaurant in the Jones421 Building, the all-Angus beef sausage is served with an Alpine cheese blend, beer-braised onions, fried shallots and fried garlic on a toasted bun.
Baking up a Storm at Lake Lorraine has a new lunch menu for winter, including a new Chipotle Beef sandwich and Pesto Chicken wrap.
The reopened Rosie’s Cafe needs help decorating. For every five fun magnets customers bring in, they’ll get a free treat, which is a piece of candy or, if you’re lucky, a cookie. The offer is good through Jan. 25.

The Human Bean’s upcoming Giveback Day on Saturday will support Giving Wings, a nonprofit program through Wings Gymnastics that provides scholarships for children in or adopted through foster care to participate in sports, music and art programs. The coffee shop will donate 10 percent of sales that day.
