Sunset Station in Henderson has quietly dropped a new 28-seat casino bar onto the gaming floor, even as construction crews shut down the property’s signature Gaudi Bar for a top-to-bottom makeover. The new bar, carved out of the former Club Madrid footprint, operates around the clock and is built to be a compact social hub for gamblers and sports fans. Station Casinos says the project is part of a broader refresh that will roll through Sunset Station in phases through 2026.
The newcomer is laid out as a large, square island trimmed in Calacatta Rosso marble with warm gold accents, ringed by plush red stools. Bartop gaming machines line the counter, while double-stacked high-definition screens handle the sports viewing duties. Promotional pricing, including Station Casinos’ $1.99 margaritas and $3 beers and shots, is aimed squarely at keeping players in their seats, according to What Now.

The original mosaics will remain in place, so regulars will still recognize the bones of the space. The enhancements, which are part of Station Casinos’ $53 million off-Strip reinvestment, will shift the casino’s 23 table games to a spot next to the new bar during construction, according to the Las Vegas Review‑Journal.
Where This Fits In The Bigger Plan
Station Casinos has sketched out a larger makeover playbook for Sunset Station, including the planned arrival of Stoney’s Rockin’ Country and an all-new Player Services area that will combine the cage and loyalty desk into a single hub. The company says these upgrades build on recent additions like the STN Sportsbook and Yard House and are part of a phased property-wide refresh, according to Station Casinos…
