Stolen Ride, Loaded Gun: White Plains Man Held Without Bond After High-Speed Crash

WHITE PLAINS, Md. — A White Plains man is being held without bond after authorities say he was found in a stolen vehicle and later fled from deputies during a pursuit that ended in a crash and a foot chase in Waldorf.

Court records identify the defendant as Khobe Manuel Prospere David, 24, of White Plains. He faces felony theft charges for property valued between $25,000 and $100,000, along with misdemeanor theft under $100, possession of a stolen regulated firearm, and two handgun-related offenses involving a handgun and a loaded handgun in a vehicle, according to charging documents.

Deputies were dispatched the night of Jan. 6, 2026, to the 11000 block of St. Luke Drive in White Plains for a report of a suspicious vehicle parked behind a residence. Patrol officers located a black Chevrolet Camaro displaying Maryland tags and determined through a records check that the plate was associated with a stolen vehicle report from the Charles County Sheriff’s Office…
