Albany man charged in undercover sting for selling firearms to police officers over months

ALBANY, NY (WRGB) — A 21-year-old Albany man has been charged for selling assault rifles and handguns to undercover police.

Isaiah Foy was arraigned on a 12-count, sealed indictment that charges him with the following:

  • Criminal Sale of a Firearm in the First Degree,
  • Eight counts of Criminal Sale of a Firearm in the Third Degree
  • Three counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree

Foy was investigated for several months by the New York State Police. Foy allegedly sold six handguns and two assault rifles on seven separate dates ranging from Oct. 1, 2025, to Dec. 14, 2025.
