Prosecutors Plan to Refile Criminal Charge Against Detroit Police Commissioner

Wayne County prosecutors plan to refile a criminal charge against Detroit Police Commissioner Darious Morris for being a felon in possession of a weapon, the Detroit News reports.

The 2021 incident ended up getting dismissed after a Detroit police officer failed to appear for a hearing.

Morris, a Detroit police commissioner for District 3, said he was aware of the charge being reinstated, according to The News: “We’ll work it all out.”…
