Woman dies in St Joseph County crash, ice and snow believed to be contributing factors

FABIUS TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – A 20-year-old woman died following a two-vehicle collision on Constantine Road, according to the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Office.

The incident occurred Wednesday evening in Fabius Township, The Sheriff’s Department says the unidentified woman was northbound in a Chevy Cobalt and lost control on a bridge and struck a guardrail, she then crossed into the southbound lane, and was hit on the driver’s side by a Chevrolet Silverado.

The Sheriff’s Office indicated the woman may not have been wearing a seatbelt and that ice and snow were believed to be contributing factors; speed and alcohol are not considered factors in the crash…
