New Orleans prepares MLK Day service projects to honor civil rights legacy

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – Service projects will take place across New Orleans on Martin Luther King Jr. Day as the area prepares to honor the civil rights leader’s life and work.

Melissa Passman will lead the City Park Conservancy in its National Day of Service, where volunteers will gather mulch and remove invasive plants in a section of City Park.
