LAS VEGAS — Retail theft remains a persistent issue across Southern Nevada, with law enforcement focusing increasingly on organized retail crime rather than isolated shoplifting incidents.

In 2025, the city of Las Vegas saw a 11% increase in organized retail crime over the year, and this year the trend continues. Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department statistics also showed a 12.7% increase in shoplifting compared with 2024.
