MEDINA COUNTY, Ohio (WJW) – A 26-year-old Garfield Heights man is jailed and facing charges in connection to a reported sex offense at a local Walmart.
According to the Medina Township Police Department, Tyler Jones is accused of using his phone to record images of a juvenile employee in the store bathroom. Police said Jones recoded the juvenile from an adjacent stall. He’s also accused of making “inappropriate sexual advances.”

The incident happened at the Walmart located at 4141 Pearl Rd. in Medina Township on Jan. 8, police said.
“Additional evidence collection remains ongoing to determine whether there may be additional victims,” the police department shared in a social media post.
Jones, who was identified through surveillance footage and license-plate-reader technology, was arrested Jan. 16 following an “extensive investigation.” He’s been booked on the following charges, according to Medina Township police:
- Illegal Use of a Minor in Nudity-Oriented Material or Performance — Felony of the Second Degree
- Voyeurism — Felony of the Fifth Degree
