AKRON, Ohio — With temperatures expected to stay bitterly cold this weekend, the city of Akron has extended hours at a community center in order to provide a warming center for residents in need.
What You Need To Know
- Summit Lake County Center, 380 W. Crosier St, will be open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 18; Monday, Jan. 19 and Tuesday, Jan. 20
- The rest of the city’s community centers will be closed on Sunday and Monday
- The Emergency Overnight Warming Center will be open from 7 p.m. to 8 a.m. from Friday, Jan. 16 to Sunday, Jan. 18
