The US Coast Guard rescued three divers who had become separated from their dive boat, and successfully used a satellite emergency notification device (SEND) to alert first responders and transmit their location.
The incident happened in the waters off Palm Beach, Florida, on January 4, when the three divers lost sight of their dive boat after surfacing. The divers then used their emergency device and the Coast Guard received their signal at 4:09 pm.
