Residents of Cleveland Heights are being advised to exercise caution as the CH Roads Division gears up for significant snowfall expected to hit the area. With a lake-effect snow warning in effect from 2 pm today until 7 pm tomorrow, crews from the Streets Division of the Department of Public Works have been proactively treating the roadways to minimize disruptions and enhance safety for motorists venturing out into the wintry conditions.
In a social media post from the City of Cleveland Heights, Ohio – City Hall, the public was informed that main roads are being addressed first with plowing efforts. Following the main roads, the crew will move on to secondary and tertiary streets as soon as accumulation diminishes. The city is also employing a strategy of “sensible salting,” which means the salt is primarily reserved for critical areas like main roads, school zones near stop signs, and hills.
